Learning Disabilities – Support Worker
£17,500 to £20,000
About the job:
We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed Care and Support Workers on a full time contract basis. Experience within learning disabilities would be beneficial for each individual as the services based around West London are under this client group. The clients you will be supporting can display challenging behaviour so you must be experienced in providing care and support to individuals with Learning Difficulties.
Typical duties will include supporting residents with day to day activities such as dressing, assisting with personal care, preparation of food, shopping, accompanying to appointments and within the community, encouraging independence where possible and aiming to develop and build key life skills.
Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Candidates that have no previous experience in the care industry would be considered, however all candidates put forward must have a desire to work within the care industry.
* You must be FULLY flexible and be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends
* Experience within Learning disabilities for adults
* You must hold a valid DBS in the last 12 months or must be happy to do a new one
* Personal care is a MUST
You must attend a pre assessment on the 29th January before being put forward for the interview
